Ocular migraine: Visual symptoms most commonly bright and zig-zag line are common aura (visual aura) of migraine. It is not real but often called ocular migraine. The visual symptoms affect both eyes on one or both sides of the visual field. It is caused by neuronal activity in the brain before the migraine headache. Real ocular migraine has symptoms affecting only one eye.
