A member asked:

How can leukemia effect the cardio vascular system?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: Leukemia is associated with anemia which can directly affect cardiac function. Thrombocytopenia (low platelets) can cause bleeding into the pericardium with tamponade. Abnormal leukocytes can lead to infection, including endocarditis. Some chemotherapy drugs are cardiotoxic and arrhythmogenic.
