See below: Lichen planus (LP) is a disease of the skin and/ormucous membranes that resembles lichen. . Treatment usually involves topical corticosteroids (such as betamethasone, clobetasol, dexamethasone, and triamcinolone) and analgesics, or if these are ineffective and the condition is severe, the systemic corticosteroids may be used.
