Not widely used.: There is no commercially available widely used test for oral hpv screening. If a person is concerned about oral hpv, he/she can see a dentist or a doc and have an exam. If any lesions (warts or precancerous changes) are present, these can be biopsied and sent to a laboratory for characterization / diagnosis. Pathologists study the biopsy under a microscope and may do other tests for hpv.
