Various methods: First examination by your doctor , tests like sonography , mammography , MRI will not eliminate suspicion and finally only way if it is benign or malignant is biopsy.

Hx, PE, imaging, Bx: Fist 6 years of stable "lumps" likely suggests non-cancer. A physical examination can help, but is not definitive. Worrisome signs include a firm, fixed mass, large masses, lymph edema of the breast (looks like orange peel). Imaging with mammogram or other tests like ultrasound or MRI may help. Biopsy is the definitive test, but not everyone needs an invasive procedure.
