Tongue is rippled on sides?

Scalloped tongue: Are referring to scalloping on the sides of your tongue? This can occur because of bruxism, or grinding your teeth during the night. It may be an indication of sleep apnea. Best to get your tongue evaluated.

Scalloped Tongue: This is called a scalloped tongue which describes the indentations along the sides of the tongue as a result of compression of the tongue against the adjacent teeth. It is harmless and nothing to be concerned about. It results from habits where the tongue is pressed against the lingual surfaces of the teeth on both sides.

Don't worry: The indentations seen in scalloped tongue are called lateral crenations. For the most part they are benign.
