See answer: Many causes of low t (hypogonadism) with aging overall being the most common. Causes may be either testicular in origin (injury, past infection, prior radiation/chemo, genetic); or from diseases or medications affecting the hypothalamus and the pituitary glands (benign tumors, steroids, chronic use of pain meds, genetic). Obesity, diabetes, depression have also been associated with low t.
