Ovulation: Yes it will. Even without taking pills it should go back to normal excluding of course you dont have any medical condition or ovulatory dysfunction. It all depends on why you started taking the pills in the first place.

Probably: It can take up to six months for the periods to return to normal after stopping the pill. Whatever your cycles did before you started the pill is likely what your periods will return to. If you resume the pill, your periods will return to what they were doing while you were taking the pill.
