Neck/shoulder pain: Neck and shoulder pain often go together and it can be difficult to determine where the pain is originating. Having had a previous history of thyroid cancer, it is important to make sure there is no involvement of the nerves exiting from the spine and traveling across the shoulder (brachial plexus). Mri studies of the neck/shoulder and a nerve conduction study may provide some answers.
