My daughter is 11 and takes cingular , claritin (loratadine) , albutorol , flonase . can taking any of these help her from getting a bad brohncatis attack ?

Depends: If you meant an attack from an infection (viral or bacterial) , the answer is no. In fact , patients with asthma are more prone to have respiratory tract infections and thus pneumococcal and flu vaccines are recommended.

Asthma medications: The medications albuterol and Flonase are used to treat asthma and to prevent worsening of the disease ( eg asthma attack). Singulair (montelukast) treats inflammation in the lung and nasal passages, and Claritin is an allergy medication controlling the symptoms of allergic disease. Claritin does not help asthma symptoms though. Inhalers can be used with a spacer device to deliver medication to the lung.
