What is involved in gallbladder surgery and recovery?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Laparoscopic: Gallbladder surgery. It is a surgical procedure done under general anesthesia, while one is asleep. One to four small incisions are used for the surgical instruments. Carbon dioxide gas is used and a camera inserted to see. The gallbladder is removed, then you wake up and go to the recovery room. Usually little discomfort ; usually back to normal activities in 2 weeks or less.
