Back strain: Best way to avoid back pain in waking up is regular back stretches daily preferably twice a day. A lot of them are posted on u tube. Instead of changing bed try sleeping on floor putting mattress down if possible and see if firmness helps. Stretches as soon as you get out of bed helps a lot followed by hot shower.
