It depends: It depends on the cause of the pain. It sounds as if fibromyalgia could be the issue. If that is the case, pain meds are not warranted and specific therapies are available. See a rheumatologist.

Rheumatologist: Given the multiple joint pain, it would be good to see a rheumatologist to see if there may be an underlying condition that could explain your pain. If so, treatment would need to target the underlying problem. If not, then would need workup (e.g. Exam, imaging) to see why each area hurts. There are many types of treatments depending on the diagnosis.
