Yes: Deep soft tissue infections that require surgical removal of infected tissue.NF extends into muscle layers and the fascia that surrounds them. Perirectal abscess, an infection involving the buttocks and rectal area, is a necrotizing soft tissue infection that is not fasciitis. Requires surgery and sometimes a colostomy.

Necrotizing Fascia: This is an infection of the deep layers of the skin and subcutaneous tissues. Almost any bacteria can cause this type of infection. It can spread quickly because of the anatomical location between planes of tissue so fast identification and response are necessary for a best outcome.
