Scientific Rx: Acne is best managed by topical benzoyl peroxide 5% 2x/day; if this fails, prescription strength rx from your physician. I am very sorry that your acne was not managed appropriately when it could have been, and that you ended up with scars. Only a physician can treat these with microinjections, microsurgery, laser or dermabrasion. Best wishes for your successful treatment.

Scars: Nope. You can use scar massage, moisturizer and a creamer or ointment with silicone. You can also have stood injections and surgery if needed.

I agree. Bag balm helps irritated skin, not acne scars.

Can only Improve: You cannot "erase" scars. Poor scars can be improved through the following methods:
1) scar massage
2) silicone sheeting (a kind of silicone tape you where over the scar)
3) steroid injections
4) laser treatment (helps remove coloring)
5) scar revision (removing the scar and starting over).
Consult with a plastic surgeon to find out which combination of these would best work for you.

Help please? What is the difference between pimple and acne scars?

They're the same: Most pimples that leave scars are acne. Red spots and brown spots are best left to heal on their own. Depressed scars require management by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist with laser, filler or microsurgery. Several hollywood leading men have kept their for the "tough guy" effect. You have a choice.

Acne Scars: You need to see a local physician who can help you navigate the options available to you. You can start with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Good luck!
