NOT GOOD: If a major blood vessel in the neck, such as carotid or vertebral starts to get narrow, a process called stenosis, blood flow gets compromised eventually, and a stroke could ensue. Certain percentages of narrowing dictate potential surgery or use of medications. KEY issue is to do all possible to prevent a stroke.
