Gasoline: Motor fuel has been around for over a century without anybody seriously think it's causing cancer. It's inert and doesn't mutate genes (contrast benzene), and thus probably can't cause cancer. One subject that does keep coming up is whether garage grease is a risk factor for pancreatic cancer -- i'm undecided.
