Can you tell me about mammary arteriosclerosis?

Usually resistant: The mammary artery is usually resistant to atherosclerosis and is the best conduit we have for CABG patients. It usually lasts a life time. Most of the time if a mammary artery fails its because of a technical problem with the surgery ,poor out flow , or the artery wasnt blocked enough and competetive flow causes the vessel to become atretic.
