Rupatadine: This new medication has both antihistamine qualities and blocks paf (platelet activating factor). It has been studied for treatment of seasonal allergies and hives. By having "dual" action, it's thought it may be more effective than regular antihistamines. While it is in many countries, i don't believe it is in the U.S.
