What happens to your body immediately after decapitation?

You die: Decapitation severs the major blood vessels feeding the brain and the spinal cord where it exits the head. The heart may beat for a short period, with massive loss of blood occuring. When sufficient blood is lost, the organs shut down at varying rates. The kidney & liver, for example, may remain viable for about 4 hours & could theoretically be transplanted. Nerve tissue and heart will deteriorate
