Good prognosis: Keratoconus is a progressive corneal disorder in which it becomes more irregular in shape over time, blurring vision. Often glasses or contacts can achieve good vision early on, but sometimes a cornea transplant is needed. The prognosis is very good for cornea transplant in keratoconus. The recovery can take around 6 months or more to achieve your best vision. There is usually little pain.
