A member asked:

Could namenda (memantine) stop the progression of alzheimer's disease?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Helps somewhat: Does not really stop progression, merely slows the deterioration somewhat and helps some of the associated issues such as agitation. But in combination with a cholinesterase inhibitor, may truly be very useful.
