Reverse sit ups: When your surgeon says it is okay to start exercising you may do so. Many exercises that helps the lower back also help the abdominal muscles. More repetitions, less weight increase toning. More weight and less repetitions can increase muscle mass (slightly) and lead to a thicker waist measurement. Cutting the % of body fat, causes abdominal muscles to be visible. Fat hides toned muscles.
