Surgery narrow angle: It is called a yag laser iridotomy. It creates a peripheral hole in the iris of the eye. The purpose of the hole is to allow fluid made behind the iris to gain easier access to the drain holes in the front of the eye. This surgery is to prevent an emergency known as angle closure glaucoma which can blind you. The surgery takes only a minute or so.
