Hi doctors, was just wondering what is better, integrated or nonintegrated artificial eye?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Minimal difference: The integrated implant was designed to offer greater mobility, but the mobility is mostly limited by the edge of the implant as the eye moves to greater extremes. So truly effective motion would then allow the edge to be exposed. However, changes in the socket tissue limit the excursion even when integrated and there is a common occurrence of a clicking sound. But they are both good implants.
