Retinal detachment: In an individual will usually present with symptoms of blurred or loss of vision in a quadrant of your field. If a detachment has progressed far enough, central vision will be affected. Shallow detachments may give you a sensation of cloudy vision. A significant detachment will be as if a veil or shade is blocking your vision. If you have concerns, see your ophthalmologist immediately.

Get an exam: The only way to find out is to have an exam by a qualified eye MD. AAO.org is very helpful. If you have a retinal detachment, the sooner you see a specialist the better. Time is vision.
