ER best bet: If he is able to walk there is likely no emergency but he should apply ice regularly and if still a problem in a day or 2 consult with his own md.

Go to ER: With this number of injuries, your friend should be seen by a doctor, especially if the head injury. If he wont go you need to monitor closely and watch for symptoms such as vomiting or lethargy, which may signal that he has a concussion.
