Metacarpal fracture: It's a fracture of the 5th metacarpal neck. Depending upon position, it may need to be reduced "set". Short term splinting and early range of motion would be needed. See an ortho doc.

Yes: It is a fracture at the distal aspect of the fifth metacarpal. As the name implies, it usually is caused by an axial load to the fifth metacarpal in an action that occurs when a fist strikes a hard object.
