A member asked:

Can you please tell me how long epiploic appendagitis lasts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Varies: If the epiploic appendix involved is totally torsed and dies, pain would last several days to a couple weeks. If it's only partially twisted and continues to survive, it can hurt for weeks. I recently removed one that had been causing pain for several weeks. Fairly easy to resolve laparoscopically as an outpatient.
