No guidline on PH: According to the who, there is no health based guidline for ph in drinking water. The who measures the corrosivity of water by measuring its ph. The lower the ph, the more corrosive it is. The ph of pure water is 7. Although the who claims that ph usually has no impact on people who drink it, its important in determining the health of the distribution system.
A 32-year-old member asked:

Are those filtered water bottles safe?

Dr. Michael Amster

Yes but...: Yes, they are safe. Just make sure you're following the manufacturer's recommendations regarding what water can be filtered (swamp water can only be cleaned so much) and that you're replacing the filter or the bottle on schedule. Using a bottle long after the expiration does away with the safety features.
A 34-year-old member asked:

Tap or bottled water? Which is healthier: tap or bottled water?

1 doctor answer1 doctor weighed in
Dr. Gregory Hines

Neither: Tap water in virtually all parts of the country is safe to drink. If you have a well or spring, and your water has not been tested, then you should submit a sample for testing, but all city water is tested to make sure it is safe to drink.

Depends: If they are glass bottles and cleaned thoroughly between uses, they can be used forever. Plastic bottles may break down and release plastic into the water especially if they are left in the sun.
