Timing of vomiting: When you vomit after stimulation of the gallbladder as in after eating for any reason at all, there is bile in your vomitus which gives it the yellow/green color. If you continue to vomit, or if there are other symptoms such as fever, abdominal pain, or any worsening, you should seek medical attention. The mucous is the secretion to protect your lining mucosa.

Green stuff is bile.: Not a serious emergency by itself. Bile is a normal fluid produced by your liver. It has a green color to it and a nasty taste (as you already know!) it can flow back into the stomach from the first part of the small intestine. Schedule an evaluation if symptoms persist.
