Gastroenteritis: Gastroenteritis is usually caused by a virus or food poisoning, is self limiting and should clear after a week or so. Your symptoms are not under control. For a short time slow down your bm's with kaopectate or imodium (loperamide). Follow a bland diet low in harsh roughage and if symptoms persist, have an evaluation by your pcp or gastroenterologist.
