U need to have a --: Detailed talk with your surgeon, as there are a couple of difficult issues here. Is the patella healed now or is it still fractured? During tkr one can address both the arthritis and the recurrent dislocation issues with a lateral release (during the tkr surgery) and medial reefing. Generally works better. But your surgeon will decide whats best for you, in your situation. Good luck.
