Ways to know: Neck pain can lead to muscle spasms and radiating pain. Is it from nerve? If the MRI report discusses neuroforaminal stenosis, then it is possible. Another method is emg/nerve conduction studies from a neurologist or physical medicine provider.

Impingement Possible: There is definitely a possibility that the discs could be pinching a nerve.
