But ER is open...: Abdominal pain is never normal, ; "really bad" pain even less so. Lots of things cause right-sided abdominal pain--see earlier healthtap answers. When pain is related to urination as you report, be particularly concerned about urinary tract infection progressing proximally or renal stones. You may need antibiotics (at least) so don't delay in seeking evaluation ; getting treated now.
