Children and infecio: Children are frequently hospitalized with severe viral illnesses. Obviously, with their inherently bad hygiene, student nurses interact and may contract their virus.

Community resistance: People tend to become less ill by having earlier episodes that built their immunity. Someone who works in a pediatric clinic daily will eventually develop a tolerance to new germs that are similar to those that went through last season.A student nurse,fresh from an adult setting, but newly exposed to kid germs will go thru a break in period. After a while, and some illness, they resist better
