A dog question?: Chocolate poisoning can occur in dogs, who process one of its metabolic by-products (theobromine) much more slowly than humans do. In dogs, one ounce of milk chocolate per pound of body weight is potentially lethal. http://tinyurl.com/ltq3sfq dark chocolate is even more potent. To my knowledge this kind of poisoning doesn't happen in humans, but some may be allergic or crave it.
