At 4 weeks pregnant can yor body think it's about to get its period because you would be due at this time and cause period pain an not be a miscariage?

Yes: Cramping around the time of the missed period or in early pregnancy is common. If there is also bleeding then there is a chance of a miscarriage. If there is cramping and no bleeding this is normal. I think the cramping is due to the uterus beginning to be stretched by the growing embryo.
