Immediately!: Most ovulation tests are positive for luteinizing hormone (lh) which means that egg is already out and it lasts only 3 to 5 days for fertilization capability.

Same day: When a woman is using an ovulation predictor once a day, and it turns positive, she will ovulate in 12-30 hours. I recommend she have intercourse that day and the next day.
