It's Worth a Try: There is very little downside in taking xifaxan, (rifaximin) since it is basically a non-absorbable antibiotic. Duodenal lymphocytosis may be a non-specific finding, and if your only symptom is excessive gas, then trying this relatively safe antibiotic might just work.
