Torsion: The pain from torsion is testicular; so bad the testes hurts to the touch if you feel testes pain you need to go to the er for a formal exam by a doctor.

Sudden onset: Torsion of the testicle occurs very suddenly. Other inflammatory condtions like orchitis and epididymitis can occur more gradually. If this discomfort persists, an exam by a urologist is recommended.
