I started taking tryciclics. my concern is stopping the ssris abruptly for withdrawal concerns. yet, can't taking both cause seretonin syndrome ?

Discuss with doc : Your doc knows you. Usually isn't a big deal. In general id start tricyclics along with ssri and then wean off of ssri, serotonin syndrome unlikely, discontinuance sx most common with Paxil (paroxetine) which is a more potent ssri, .
