I was wondering what are the common sign of glaucoma?

No common signs: The diagnosis of glaucoma is made by gathering lots of facts. Patients typically will have elevated eye pressure, optic nerve damage on exam, visual field testing, comparison with past optic nerve pictures and/or evidence of optic nerve damage by optical coherence tomography (oct) or other optic nerve head imaging analyses. Open angle type has no signs starting signs, angle closure does.

Sneak thief of sight: There are two major forms of glaucoma, open angle and closed angle glaucoma. By far in the US the most common form is open angle and this typically does not have any symptoms in the early stages. In later stages there is loss of vision typically on the side or periphery. This is why screening for glaucoma is so important. In closed angle glaucoma symptoms include pain, redness, loss of vision.
