No good answer yet: It is believed that parkinson's disease like many other neurodegenerative diseases arise from a combination of factors including genetics and environmental influences. Sometimes there are medications that can cause a parkinsonian syndrome and rarely there are structural lesions such as strokes that can cause a similar clinical picture. Take care and well wishes.
