A member asked:

Please tell me what does epiretinal membrane over the mascular area mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Scar tissue: It is basically a very thin "celluphane"-like membrane of scar tissue that for many reasons can spread over the central part of the retina. It often causes no significant problems but can be managed surgically if it does.
