A member asked:

Are fordyce spots or thrush contageous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Fordyce spots are prominent sebaceous glands most commonly occurring on/in the mouth or genitals in both males and females. They are common, benign, and neither contagious or infectious. Thrush is a yeast infection of the mucus membrane lining of the mouth and tongue and is an overgrowth of the Candida Albicans fungus which is naturally found in the mouth in small amounts. It too is not contagious.
