I suggest: I suggest that you bring your tongue cleaner with you to a dentist, demonstrate how you use it and have him\her evaluate your tongue and what you're doing. You will get better answers and advice that way.

Brush top of tongue: We want you to clean the top of your tongue. It's not necessary to clean the side back portion of the tongue.
