The shakes aka DTs: Tremors, sleep disturbance, nausea, auditory and visual hallucinations like seeing and hearing pink elephants in the room. Seizures, and confusion. Formication is the sensation of ants crawling under your skin. Worse case scenario coma and death. This can happen when the blood alcohol level is below what the person has become habituated to drinking.
