No such thing: The egg is microscopic when it lands on the wall of the uterus. There is no such thing as implantation bleeding. If you have bleeding this is not representative of pregnancy. A spot or two of blood is rarely seen, but not bleeding.

Various signs: Implantation bleeding usually occurs just before the next period is expected. It produces an unusual discharge that varies in color from pinkish to very dark brown or black. Bleeding is often confused with menstrual spotting and lasts only a day or two, and it may be associated with some cramping. If it is implantation, a pregnancy test would be positive a few days later.

Implantation typically occurs about 8 to 10 days after conception, which should be about 4 to 6 days before the period is due. Implantation bleeding will usually happen within about 14 days of implantation. So, by the time your period is due, a pregnancy test will be positive if you have conceived.
