Any more symptoms??: Is it painful, red looking, tender? Any injury? Any limitation of motion? Any other joints ( same hand or the other side or any other joints, like wrist/elbow, ankle, feet or knees? Any hx of gout (personal or in the family?) you need to see your pcp and possibly a referral to an orthopod or a hand surgeon? Good luck.
